My “home lab” has been a key part of my career; it has allowed me to learn and experiment with many new technologies. It’s always been a bit all over the place. Based on almost every flavour of virtualisation going around, it’s been offline for months and sometimes gets so patchy that its best just to delete it and start again. For a long time, I have wanted to build a stable hosting base that allows my home lab tinkering to continue and is also stable enough to run “production” loads for my personal needs.
